workplace accident compensation
Worker's compensation issue (Indiana)?

My husband was injured at work. He was told to wait until that his shift ended and someone from the next shift would take him to hospital. That did not happen and two hours after his shift was over I came to his workplace and took myself. He then had to return to work and fill out accident reports, etc., which took an hour or two. At that time, he was told not to come back at night because they did not yet know what to do with him, even if he had was allowed to return to work with restrictions. Now I have some questions: Is it right to comp worker overtime or waiting for / the hospital visit / documents later? If his workers comp pay for the night, he was forced not to work? It has been said by the secretary of his boss: "It looks like these will simply be missed hours." He has an appointment with a regular doctor tomorrow to get a better assessment of injury, it must be paid for the time he is there?

Unfortunately, time is lost either unpaid or it may use sick leave if he has any available. All states have a waiting period on the number of days missed before comp worker begins to pay. It varies from 3 to 15 days. I do not know what Indiana is without looking up, but it was not From 3 days and is the lowest total state obligation, we know he was not out long enough. Every time he takes flight over of the workday will not be covered by WC. All medical expenses will be covered by WC. Keep a count of all the lost time. He may be able to obtain WC settlement and could recover the time lost through this.
