What happens at a 2nd injury hearing for workers comp?
I have a hearing for workers comp to see if i can get permanent benefits from the 2nd injury fund?
Has anyone ever beed thru this process of 2nd injury fund?
Its a fund set up in your state that pays permanent benefits if your workers comp disability and another body part that is injured or disabled causes a permanent combined disability,i think something like that.
Nothing will happen to you. The Second Injury Fund is a fund that reimburses the employer/carrier already handling your case. It has no effect on your entitlement to benefits. If you were getting benefits before, you’ll keep getting them. If you weren’t, you won’t.
