Receive compensation from council for damaging their car while driving on a pot hole?
I've damaged my car after have rolled over a pothole on the road resulting in my tires and coil spring to be replaced. I need to know is, someone Has been in the same situation and tried to claim the roads department for compensation for damage caused. If so, How are you doing about it.
My friend fell into a pot hole on a dark night when the street lights were out. He took pictures of the hole and a letter of Physicians of A + E where he attended. He conveyed this to the board and get paid. I do not think a car and the damage would be different. Take pictures the hole and damage to the car with the garage bill and send it. They can and try to deny they knew about the hole and try to evade payment .. If you call your insurance company for advice they can tell you how to go about getting compensation form the council.
