car accident compensation/insurance question???
a very short while ago i had my car slam by a negligent driver in a car park who obviously wasn’t looking for on comming traffic while they were reversing. anyway we exchanged information and she acknowledged she was at fault. said she will get her insurance to ring me however an hour later she rings up and says that she doesnt want to get the insurance involved and would pay me for the damage to my car which by the looks of it needs to have the passenger door, front bumper and the car part that’s above the front tyres but below the bonet replaced.
do you think i should take up on her offer ecause i think she has underestimated the cost of repair?
why would she pay for it if she has insurance?
she is obviously trying to keep her rates from going up by not claiming it and paying herself ,what you work out from here is up to you but i would not haggle around long with it.Tell her to pay up or contact her ins. co. yourself.
