Should I Take property solicitor to court?
Bought a flat in London 2 years ago, solicitor delayed Inland Revenue forms so I had to pay a £250 penalty fee. He also hasn’t sent lease papers to anyone so I didn’t know I had insurance, management fees to pay and ground rent. Received today a £1450.00 bill for 2 years services and I just can’t afford it. Any solicitors can advice me please? Who should I contact? Should I claim compensation? How much? How long would that take in court? How can i reduce these fees? Thanks.
I cant believe you bought a property without knowing it was leasehold???? In the very first instance, this is clearly pointed out on estate agents details – and usually clearly states you should check out the terms of the leasehold for yourself as they aren’t liable for any information on it!!
